Project Read is the San Mateo Public Library's adult literacy program, offering free, confidential tutoring with volunteer tutors since 1985. It serves adults over 16 who are not in high school and live or work in San Mateo, Burlingame or Hillsborough, with one-to-one sessions at the library and virtual and in-person classes.
