Georgia students take the Georgia Milestones End-of-Grade (EOG) tests in English language arts and math in grades 3–8, with science and social studies in some grades, and End-of-Course (EOC) tests in specific high school courses. Tutoring centers that follow grade-level standards in reading, writing and math cover the same skills; ask a provider how its sessions line up with your child's school curriculum and Milestones results.

Check the current requirements on GAfutures (the Georgia Student Finance Commission) before setting a target score; filter by SAT & ACT Prep to find providers that offer classes or one-on-one prep.

Many Atlanta independent schools ask applicants to take the SSAT or ISEE, and some Catholic high schools use the HSPT; requirements differ by school and grade. Several test-prep providers listed here, including Applerouth, Edison Prep, Access Test Prep, C2 Education and Northside Tutoring, name SSAT, ISEE or HSPT preparation, so confirm each target school's current requirements first.

Listings here include The Schenck School's Orton-Gillingham tutoring (open to students not enrolled there), Syllables Learning Center in Alpharetta, Lindamood-Bell's Atlanta and Alpharetta centers, LearningRx and Northside Tutoring. Filter by Dyslexia & Learning Differences and ask each provider about its method and tutor training.
